The group gathering

Every Tuesday night from April through October a group of kayakers gather to go for a paddle and then return to shore to eat. This website is where you will find out where we are paddling.

Reminders for next 2 paddles

July 7th, Barn Island paddle to have picnic on Sandy Point. Bring light for dusk or later return to launch site (it's for your own protection and it's the law!).

July 14th, Old Saybrook launch site information to be forthcoming (via e-mail as well as this site)

July 14th

Sorry, but I think I remember that we agreed not to post the directions on the website due to it being a launch on private property. Keep an eye out for an e-mail (if you're on the member list) or arrange to "follow" a member to the site. Try to make plans at the paddle at Barn Island on the 7th. Otherwise, you're on your own.

First time out with TNP was a blast!

I enjoyed meeting everyone on my first night out (Great Island) and had great time! Thank you everyone for your tips and info! Was sorry I couldn't stay for the food ... next time!

New to group

I would just like to thank Gerry for introducing me to the group. I think you guys are wonderful and I am looking forward to many more paddles. I tend to be a little shy and I apologize to those of you I did not introduce myself to last night. See you on the water soon.

TNP Pictures- Online

Hi All,

I thought I'd post some of my TNP pictures online. They're not professional standard but hopefully good enough for folks to enjoy.

Let me know what you think. Please let me know if there are problems with seeing the pics.

Favorite Kayak Blogs

Hi Everyone,

I thought I'd share my favorite kayak blog and maybe others might like to contribute their favorites too. Although I moved away from Scotland 25 years ago, I never felt really homesick until I started following this blog which has fantastic pictures of kayaking around the west coast of Scotland, little snippets of history and other kayak trivia. Give it a try- and post some of your own.

RSVP for the Kayaker Jamboree

Please post a reply to RSVP for the Kayaker Jamboree.

No reservation or registration is required, but we are interested in knowing who might come.

This is a grass roots planned event. All it take is for someone to organize a pod of paddlers. It will be great to see how many and from how far people will come. You are welcome to organize a group of paddlers from your area to come down to the sound and paddle to Shea Island in the Norwalk Island chain. Please let us know you are coming.

Feel free to e-mail me if you want to discuss the Kayaker Jamboree more.
