Show and Go

If you would like to propose a paddling trip, this is the place to do it. Registered users can post a trip using the "Comments" section below. Just because you are proposing a trip does not mean you need to be the "Leader", as usual with TNP trips there are no leaders, there are just other paddlers like you who want to paddle together. You all go together and determine what you are going to do by mutual consent. You can propose any trip you want, either from the existing launch sites, or some place you have been before or would just like to explore.

4 Mile River Paddle - Sunday June 29 @ noon

Fishers Island Ice Cream Paddle, Sat. June 14

NDK Sea Kayak Demo Day, Sunday May 18th

Join us at Groton Long Point in CT (Palmer Cove) on Sun, May 18th from 10-4 for on on-water demo of Nigel Dennis’s Kayaks and Lendal paddles (now made in Old Town, ME).

Put on by Kayak Waveology Co www.kayakwaveology.com and Maine island Kayak Co. www.maineislandkayak.com

We’ll have all the models (except for the new Romany RM w fiberglass cockpit and adjustable seat and the new Romany HV with reworked deck, hull and cockpit). Both the new boats are done but the container is on the water as we speak, so maybe will be here on time?

We are hoping on having a rough water paddling session at 2PM each day for those interested in trying Nigel’s great boats in conditions with some coach and guide oversight.

For an up to date listing of NDK kayaks that are in stock here in Maine. http://www.maineislandkayak.com/boats_in_stock.html
Note if you click on the name of the boat it will give you a representation of the color combos

Saturday Paddle, 4/19, Great Island, 11am

At least a few of us will be launching at the Great Island launch site around 11:00am. No destination yet. Decide as we go. High tide at Old Saybrook Jetty is at 10:40, so the water might have some fun spots. Good place to get wet if it's your first time in a while. Drysuits highly recommended. Bring lunch.

Pre season party at the Lyme Tavern at 6:00pm.
