Please come to the Christmas Party at Lyme Tavern next Saturday, December 10th.
This is a very informal party, much like our paddles, show up when you want, order what you want, leave when you want. TNP has the side room reserved. Usually there is a DVD player available, if you have photos from past paddles, or videos or anything you think people would like to see, bring them.
Come even if you never make it to any of the paddles but just want to hang out with good people for awhile.
Woo hoo, its Spring!
The first paddle of the TNP kayaking season is coming up next week. We will be launching from Esker Point. The water is still cold so dressing for the water temperature with a dry suit or wet suit is highly recommended. You safety is your responsibility so it is your choice.
If you are new to paddling with TNP, please note that the launch time is typically 6:00 pm. This means people will be on the water at 6 and paddling away from the launch. Please arrive early enough to get ready and please introduce yourself to the other paddlers.
Just a reminder that the TNP Christmas Party is next Saturday December 4th at Lyme Tavern: http://tnp.kayakforum.com/2010/annual-tnp-christmas-party
Also of note, Gerry Polinsky will be hosting pool sessions at Avery Point Pool again this year starting December 11: http://www.seasherpakayak.com/calendar.htm

The July 20th and August 03rd paddle locations have been flip-flopped. Bayberry Lane is closing on August 02 for renovations and won't be available again until January 01, 2011. We were supposed to be launching from Bayberry Lane on August 03.
The Tuesday paddle of July 20th will now be at Bayberry Lane in Groton (originally Barn Island). The Tuesday paddle of August 03rd will now be at Barn Island in Stonington (originally Bayberry Lane).
The schedule has been updated to reflect these changes.
The 2010 Tuesday Night Paddling season starts soon. The first Tuesday will be April 27 at Esker Point. See the whole schedule at http://tnp.kayakforum.com/schedule

Hello All,
Despite the cold and snow, the 2010 TNP paddling season will be on us sooner than you expect. We are currently working up the schedule and are in need of some suggestions on any changes in the schedule. If you have any launch sites you would like to see included in the schedule, or you have any other ideas such as paddling trips for days other than Tuesday, please let us know.
