Baldwin Bridge - Old Saybrook

Old Saybrook, CT From the East:

• Take I-95 South to exit 69.
• Take Exit 1 which is Ferry Point.
• Turn right onto Essex Road/Old State Road, follow for 0.4 miles.
• Essex Road/Old State Road becomes Ferry Road.
• Baldwin Bridge State Boat Launch will be located on your left.

From the West:

• Take I-95 North to Exit 67.
• Make a slight right onto Middlesex Turnpike/Route 154.
• Turn left onto U.S. Route 1/Boston Post Road (at the stop light), and follow for 1.1 miles.
• Boston Post Road then becomes Ferry Road.
• Bear left to stay on Ferry Road.
• Continue on Ferry Road, with the Baldwin Bridge State Boat Launch being located under the Baldwin Bridge on Ferry Road.
• It will be on your right while driving on Ferry Road.
• The Boat Launch will be located 1.9 miles from the traffic light at the intersection of Middlesex Turnpike/Route 154 and U.S. Route 1/Boston Post Road.

Barn Island - Stonington

Stonington, CT

• I-95 to Exit 91, Stonington Borough exit.
• South on N. Main St. to Rte. 1 light.
• Left on Rte. 1, past Cove Side Marina (on right) to light.
• Right on Greenhaven Road, 1st rt. on Palmer Neck Road.
• 1.5 miles to end at boat ramp.

Bayberry Lane - Groton

Groton, CT

• I-95 to Exit 87 or 349 South on Clarence Sharp Highway
• Go through 2 lights on Brandegee to Shennecossett Road
• Pass Pfizer, golf course, under Amtrak, 2nd left on Bayberry Lane.

Bluff Point - Groton

Groton, CT

•  I-95 to exit 88 in Groton. 
• Head towards water (south) thru two lights to the junction of Rt. 1. 
• Right on Rt. 1. Left at first light (Depot Road). 
• Continue on to Bluff Point State Park.

Bushnell St - Essex

Essex, CT

• I-95 to Rte 9 to Exit 3.
• Go to stop light then east on West Avenue into Essex Center.
• At the rotary at the head of Main Street go north (left) on North Main Street for 1 short block.
• Turn right onto Bushnell Street.
• Just before Dauntless Boat Yard turn left onto a dirt road and go a short distance to boat launch and parking area.

Note: Immediate parking is limited.

Cini Park - East Lyme

East Lyme, CT
From the East:

• Take I-95 South to Exit 74.
• Turn right onto Route 161/Flanders Road. Follow 2.9 miles until the intersection with Route 156.
• Turn left and proceed approximately .5 miles, at which point the entrance to the park is on the left before the bridge (on its west side).
• The park itself is located under the Route 156 Niantic River bridge.

From the West:

• Take I-95 North to Exit 72.
• Turn right onto the Rocky Neck Connector.
• Follow to the end (.5 miles) and then turn left onto Route 156.
• Follow Route 156 for approximately 3.7 miles.
• Turn left into the driveway immediately before the bridge (on its west side) and follow to its end.
• The park is located under the Route 156 Niantic River bridge.

Deep River - Essex

Deep River, CT

• Rte 154 to the middle of town
• Take Kirtland street east to the river dock access ramp.

Dock Road - Waterford

Waterford, CT

1. If southbound, I-95 to Exit 81 (Cross Road). Left at stop
   sign then left at light & cross over I-95. Left at next light onto Rte
   1. (Go to step 3)
2. If northbound, I-95 to Exit 75 and bear right onto Rte 1.
   (Go to step 3)
3. Turn right on Avery Lane then straight through next light
   to Rte.213 (Great Neck Road), then 2 mi. to Goshen Road; turn rt. Follow
   signs to end to Boating Access.

East River - Guilford

• Rt. 95 -Exit 59 Goose Lane- Guilford.
• End of exit head south (towards water) 50 yards to light.
• Take a left on Rt. 1 and proceed 1 mile under RR bridge.
• Continue until you go over a small bridge (Neck river).
• Take 1st right on Neck Rd. (bear right)
• Follow Neck Road to the end and continue on Ridgewood Ave. to the East River State Boat Launch.

Esker Point - Groton

Groton, CT

• I-95 to Exit 88. South on Rte. 117 to end.
• Left at light onto Rte. 1 to top of hill.
• Right on Rte. 215, past RR bridge to parking lot on right (just before Fisherman Restaurant).
• Boat ramp (cartop only) at SW corner.

Fort Trumbull - New London

New London, CT
From the East:

• Take I-95 South.
• Take exit 84 South (Downtown New London).
• Make your way onto Eugene O’Neill Drive.
• Follow Eugene O’Neill Drive and take left onto Tilley Street.
• Make right onto Bank Street and then left onto Howard Street.
• Follow Howard Street and make left onto Walbach Street, then Left onto East Street.
• There is a small beach straight ahead with parking in the middle of the circle

From the West:

• Take I-95 North.
• Take exit 83 (Downtown New London).
• Go straight at light onto Huntington Street.
• Take right onto Jay Street.
• Go straight onto Truman Street, then left onto Blinman Street.
• Follow Blinman Street to Howard Street and go straight onto Howard Street.
• Then make left onto Walbach Street and then Left onto East Street.
• There is a small beach straight ahead with parking in the middle of the circle

Fort Wetherill - Jamestown, RI

Jamestown, RI

• I-95 north to Rte 138 East.
• Cross Jamestown Bridge and take Downtown Jamestown exit on the east side of the island just before the Newport Bridge (toll).
• Follow the main road through center of town, continuing on Walcott Avenue.
• Follow the signs to Ft. Wetherill, turning left into Ft. Wetherill State Park.
• Continue through park, bearing left and down the hill to parking lot and launch point.

Four Mile River - Old Lyme

Old Lyme, CT

• I-95 to Exit 72 (Rocky Neck Connector).
• South to Rte. 156 to stop light.
• Right and go to stop sign.
• Left and follow sign to boat launch on left.

Gold Star Bridge - Groton

Groton, CT

• Take I-95 north across the Gold Star bridge (Thames River) to the Groton Bridge street exit.
• Stay in the right-most lane across the bridge and turn right immediately entering the ramp.
• At the strop sign, you must turn right
• Go towards the river and turn right at the first street.
• You will see the "Kenneth Street" launch sign there, and under the bridge. Launch is on the right.
• Parking is limited.

• Travel 2.7 miles and take a right on Baptist Lane (McDonalds across the street).
• Large dirt parking lot with kayak launch on the other side of the very obvious hole in the wall.

Joshua Cove - Guilford

Guilford, CT

• I-95 to Exit 58
• Go south on Rte 77 to Guilford Green.
• Turn right onto Broad Street, go one half block and then left onto Whitfield Street (remaining on Rte 77).
• Go past the Green and turn right onto Rte 146 (Boston Street)
• Follow Route 146 for 2.4 mi (After the Guilford Green, Boston Street becomes Water Street).
• After passing under the railroad, continue straight on to Sachems Head Road for 0.6 mi.
• Bear right on Colonial Road and continue 0.2 mi.
• Turn right on Old Sachems Head Road and continue 0.3 mi.
• Turn right on Trolley Road. Boat launch is at the end of the road.
• Parking is very limited. Carpool if possible.

Note: On Saturday paddles, there are usually a few that meet at Benny’s store parking lot, Dunn’s Corners, Rte. 1, Westerly, 10 a.m. and go from there.

• Follow signs to Stonington Borough, (N. Main St.) south through light (Rte. 1 ).
• Left on Trumbull St. to end.
• Right over viaduct (Alpha Ave.) 2nd rt. onto Broad St. to town dock.
• Launch near boat storage area.

  just past village green.
• Limited parking on-street. Do not leave boats on village

• Left on Rte. 1 past Stonington Feed on left.
• Hard right on Rte. 1-A to fork.
• Bear left on Elm St. to Meadow Lane on left (.09 mi.).
• 1st. left on Island Road (Dead End), .03 mi. on rt. to
  Walker's Dock.
